Mag. Gerhard Milchram

Studied history, journalism, and communication studies in Vienna, graduated with Magister in 1997. Work, study, and research stays in Israel for various projects, e.g., at the Rothberg School for Overseas Students of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem; participated in the International Summer Academy for Museology of the Universities of Klagenfurt, Vienna, Graz, and Innsbruck in 2001. From 1993-1997, educator and curatorial assistance at the Jewish Museum Vienna, 1995–1997 freelance work for the Institute for Jewish History in Austria, 1997-2010 curator at the Jewish Museum Vienna. Member of the Working Group for Research on Provenance since 2017, author for the Lexicon of Austrian Provenance Research. Curator at the Wien Museum since 2011; curatorial responsibilities: political history and city chronicles restitution.
