True Colors – Viennese Fashion across Four Centuries
22. November 2026, 16:00–17:00
The exhibit “True Colors” traces a path from the tightly regulated 18th century to our colorfully anarchic present. It offers a panorama from poverty to luxury color as a social force that shapes society and brings fashion to life.
This guided tour of the exhibition “True Colors” focuses on the Wien Museum’s outstanding fashion collection.
We will discuss how the colors of clothes affect our senses, create feelings of belonging, and reflect social hierarchies.
