We tell (hi)stories

Neidhart Festsaal

1010 Vienna, Tuchlauben 19

Grades 1–6

The wall paintings in the medieval ballroom of the cloth merchant Michel Menschein depict a series of adventures involving “genteel” nobles and “rowdy” farmers. They invite visitors to enjoy winter sleigh rides and autumn dances. Our aim is to prompt our fantasies and to create and share our own stories.

During this workshop, the pupils activate their creative powers of imagination and enhance their narrative skills. They learn more about aspects of day-to-day life in the Middle Ages, including what people ate, how they lived, what they wore, and how they enjoyed a good party.
