No Viena Latina, o eixo de história oral documenta trajetórias de vida marcadas pela experiência migratória em Viena. Foram realizadas 71 entrevistas biográficas que abordaram motivos da migração, desafios de integração em Viena, o papel da comunidade latino-americana e suas contribuições para a sociedade e para a cultura da cidade.
As entrevistas foram conduzidas por 32 cientistas cidadãs e cidadãos da comunidade, que aprenderam métodos de entrevista, transcrição e edição. Assim, junto com as pessoas entrevistadas, criaram documentos de história oral que integram o arquivo do Viena Latina.
Oral History
The Oral History section of Viena Latina documents life stories in Vienna shaped by migration. A total of 71 biographical interviews share motives of migration, the challenges of building a new life in Vienna, the role of the Latin American community, and its contributions to the city’s social and cultural life.
The interviews were conducted by 32 citizen scientists from the community, who were trained in interviewing, transcribing, and editing. Working closely with the interviewees, they created the oral history documents that are now preserved and accessible in the Viena Latina archive.
