„My Life Advice“

In the Community Gallery, the Wien Museum invites the Viennese to share their concerns and perspectives. It is intended as a space for encounters and exchange, with a focus on learning from and with one another.

Under the title "My Life Advice", the therapeutic team of Nursing Home Simmering  initiated a photo exhibit with 30 portraits of residents, featuring their accumulated wisdom. The display was originally conceived for nursing home itself and now goes on tour to the Wien Museum as well as the District Museum Simmering: the photos can be seen in the Wien Museum’s Community Gallery, projected as a large format loop. They are complemented by short films that provide insights into the everyday work of those who provide therapeutic care for the residents.

The exhibition is created in cooperation with the District Museum Simmering (Vienna’s 11th district). Their part is on view from May 17 to September 22, 2024.
