The libraries of the Wien Museum/Museums of the City of Vienna are used by the staff as an important basic resource for their research work. It contains a total of around 60,000 items related to the history, art, and culture of Vienna. In special cases, the library can also be used by external researchers — if, for example, specific works are not available in other libraries.
