Safety Rgulations

Our museum locations are run in accordance with all COVID hygiene and safety regulations. We look forward to welcoming you.

The following applies to visits to our sites:

  • Regular museum visits do not require proof of vaccination or test status (3G).

  • Wearing an FFP2/N95 mask is required for the duration of the visit.

    • Children 0-5 years: no FFP2/N95 mask required.

    • Children 6 years and older: FFP2/N95 mask

  • For school groups: Students must be tested. Teachers and other accompanying adults need to show a valid 3G certificate (vaccination, recovery or negative test). FFP2/N95 masks are required for all visitors at all times. 

  • Adult groups: A statement confirming 3G status (vaccination, recovery or negative test) is required for the entire group. 

  • Audio guides are disinfected after each use.

  • Disinfectant dispensers are available for use throughout the museum locationss.


Information on guided tours/events:

  • Guided tours are permitted for groups up to a maximum of 20 people (outdoor) or a maximum of 15 people (indoor).

  • For guided tours and events at our locations, proof of 3G status (vaccination, recovery or negative test) is also required.

  • We also ask for 3G proof (vaccination, recovery or negative test) for all outdoor programs. There, no mask requirements apply, however.

  • We therefore ask you to be present 10 minutes before the start of the guided tour. The meeting point is at the front desk.

Contactless payment on site is available, except at the following locations: Neidhart Festsaal, Otto Wagner Hofpavillon Hietzing, Pratermuseum, Schubert Geburtshaus, Schubert Sterbewohnung and Johann Strauß Wohnung.
