viola volando. Violet in flight. Not only the colour flies, but also the word itself flies up and transforms in flight. Flying, it wants to become a drawing.
A poem from the cycle El vento de l'eterno se fa teso (1973) by the Italian poet Biagio Marin forms a flying carpet rather than a starting point for drawing. The poem as a fabric, as a ground for drawing, carries the drawing, just as it is carried by it.
Natalie Neumaier works in and with drawing and text. Drawing is closely linked to reading and writing. Reading is perhaps a touch that sets hands in motion. In this process of being struck by a poem, a text, over a period of two years, drawings, notes and texts have been created that bear traces, splinters of the respective other within themselves.
