Born in Budapest in 1962. Studies in history, geography and science theory and research in Vienna, doctorate 2004. Participated in “Culture and the Environment”, an interdisciplinary pilot study programme of the University of Vienna and the inter-university Institut für Interdisziplinäre Forschung und Fortbildung (Institute for Interdisciplinary Research and Continuing Education, IFF) 1996–1998. Research Fellow at the Internationales Forschungszentrum Kulturwissenschaften (International Research Center for Cultural Studies, IFK) in 2005. Since 2006 member of the board of the Vienna History Association, since 2012 member of the advisory board of the tram and transport museum of Wiener Linien, the City of Vienna’s public transport enterprise.

Curator in the topography and urban development department of Wien Museum since 2004, curatorial responsibilities: infrastructure and urban furniture, cartography, city views (graphic art and picture postcards), urban planning (models), transport.

Main research interests: urban and environmental history, history of transport; history of museology and representation of the city.
