Born in Wels, Austria in 1970; studies in art history, journalism and communication studies in Vienna and Berlin, graduated with Magister degree in 1998; participated in the study programme of the University of Vienna Faculty of Humanities on education in and through museums and exhibitions 1991– 1993; joined Wien Museum in 1993 as member of the academic staff.
Curator at Wien Museum since 2001, curatorial responsibilities: paintings and graphic art collections from the 15th to 19th centuries.
Main research interests: history of Austrian art in the 18th and 19th centuries, history and theory of portrait painting and artists’ portraits, veduta painting and images of the city, history of Wien Museum.
