Climb aboard and come with us! The city on the move

Fast and slow, loud and quiet, people are moving all over Vienna. Today we use the metro, cars, and wheelchairs. Earlier, people travelled by coach, horse-drawn bus, and sedan chair. What’s the fastest way of travelling? What’s best for the environment? And which is your favorite means of transport?

The pupils assume the roles of train guard or sedan chair carrier. They move through the exhibition, hearing, seeing, touching, and discovering how mobility and the cityscape have changed over the course of history. And we ask ourselves, which developments are good and which are perhaps a little less so.
