Born in Neunkirchen, Lower Austria in 1962. Studied history, journalism and communication studies in Vienna, graduated with Magister degree in 1997. Participated in the International Summer Academy for Museology of the Universities of Klagenfurt, Vienna, Graz and Innsbruck in 2001. 1995–1997 freelance work for the Institute of Jewish History in Austria. Curator at the Jewish Museum Vienna 1997–2010.

Curator at Wien Museum since 2011, curatorial responsibilities: political history and city chronicles, restitution (together with Michael Wladika).

Main research interests: political history of Vienna, minorities, migration and urban history, Jewish history, provenance research.
